There's much more to gain

My class, 4-2, was feeling sweet this week. We surprised all, well almost all, of our teachers with a song number. Yeah, as in, we played/sang Huling Harana to every last class that we could.

To those who don't know, Huling Harana is the graduation song I composed that qualified for the "finals", but unfortunately won only 2nd place.

But it was a blessing in disguise, now that I think of it. Now, we could sing it to all of our teachers and call it our own song. 4-2's song. Not the Green batch's song. Not any other's, but ours alone.

Haha selfish.

I realized that this song was created solely to be a huling harana to the teachers. And to my classmates as well.

I also realized that what Sir Dennis said was true. This song strengthened the bonds that held our class. It made us closer to one another in some mysterious way. :)

Sigghhh...I really TRULY believe that 4-2 is the best class to be in. We are very talented musically, artistically, athletically, and academically. Okay, ang yabang. :)) But I really am just proud of 4-2.

The best, however, is that there are no outcasts. Like what Mrs. Marquez said, she sees 4-2 as 4-2. As a whole. She doesn't recall only a single person's face when she thinks of 4-2, but all 42 faces pop into her head.

Last but not least, it is because we were blessed with such a caring mother, Mama Maita, who has been always there to show us that all of us are loved. :)

In 23 days, we are all going to part. But I hope we would still see each other again.

Ladies' Night

VALENTINE'S DAY

I was walking down the 1st year hallway when I realized that the girls there were all buzzing with so much activity. It was really unusual. I would see some random freshman, and then overhear her saying "Oh ibigay mo na yung flowers!" or "Ehh, nahihiya ako!".

HAHAHA go figure. Go figure. ;) *hintlesbolovehint*

I told my classmates about this as soon as I got to my classroom. Then they said, "pinaghandaan talaga ng mga first year tong araw na to". XD

We then agreed to settle for freshmen girlfriends instead of boys.

HAHAHA just kidding. XD

Anyway, the day went pretty normal. We helped Dreps construct her gift for Carlo which was a miniature house. THEIR future house. Hahahaha, it was cute. May furniture pa. :p Really cute. :">

We had volleyball training after class. I wore a red shirt. But I didn't wear red on purpose just because it was Valentine's day. It was pure coincidence. XD I never made a big deal out of this particular day anyway. So believe me. Coinkidoink lang talaga yung red shirt. Ew baduy. :D

My family went to Eastwood right after. We ate at Omakase. Yummm, great food. I loved their oysters! :p After eating, we listened a bit to The Bloomfields, but it got pretty boring coz of all the love songs so we went shopping instead.

I noticed all the couples and the people carrying flowers with these huge smiles on their faces. And I can't help but feel kilig for them. Even if I don't know them. It was like watching a movie. :p

We got home at around 11PM I think. I was about to sleep, when suddenly Dino texted me to go outside. I was like WHAT?? So I put on a jacket then went outside to check if anyone was there. But there really was noone there. XD

I told him about this, then I think he got surprised. And he told me to wait. Hahaha!! Nagkahint na tuloy ako. Maling timing kasi si Dino magsabi eh. I knew then that Cris was coming lol. But he was obviously LATE. XD

So much for a surprise huh? Pinag-antay pa ako. XD I slept in the car first while waiting coz I was really really sleepy already.

Then Cris arrived with a bouquet of ORANGE roses and chocolates and a heart-shaped idontknow. XD

That was at exactly 12:01AM of Feb.15.

Haha yay belated happy Valentine's day. =))


LSGH FAIR

My band, The Bestidas, joined a BOTGB (Battle of the Girl Bands) called Schoolture Shock wherein we had to compete with around 9 or 10 girl bands I think. That included And Many More, Pink Salad Days, Katol, MRT, etc. The usual girl bands that we play with at some gigs.

And guess what? WE WON 1ST PLACE!!! We won Php15,000! And a plaque! Hahahaha. :D

And Many More won 3rd place! Woooh! Yeah! MC PRIDE!

Thanks to all the MC people there who even cheered for us while we were playing. :)

Thanks to our loyal friends and families who never missed a gig! Hahaha. XD

And thanks also to all the Lasalistas! You are one great crowd! The best, even. :D Thanks thanks. Thanks for the 15k haha. :p

We played again the following day at their Open Jam. And according to Cris, it was a better set than the previous night's. But still, ang dami ko paring mali. Kadiri.

All in all, it was fun. We loved it. <3

The best is still yet to come

I can't believe it.

WE WON!!! 4-2 won!! First place in the Speechfest Finals '07! And all the special awards! We won them all!

Haha sugapa. But it's true. :p

I found out about different new bands/artists today. Care of Nash Tysmans, my "teacher" in Music Mixing class today. That was a cool class. :p

Oh and it's cool to cheat, if you're friends with Cedric Jose. Haha kidding. Watch the film "Idol" if you can't relate. ;)

How it feels

For the first and last time, my batch is the Over-all Champion in the intrams! Go green. Senior pride. :D

Yeah, senior pride. That must be the reason why every year's winners are the seniors. I'm thinking it must be luto. BUT! Definitely not this year. We won a lot of championship games. And our volleyball team is the best! Back-to-back champions. ;)

Oh and our Futsal team is really great too. Aziel won the best goalkeeper award again! Yeah. :D

All the MVPs of the different sports got a Toby's bag and a P500 gift certificate each. Seriously, what could you get from Toby's for 500 pesos? A pair of socks? Lol.

After the awarding ceremony, we had our speechfest "TDR", if you could call it that. Yup, we got in the finals, which is on Monday. :) A lot of the other sections and other year level qualifiers came up to us and told us how good we are. ^_^;

Hope we win. Another first-and-last in my life if it happens.

Went to the Ateneo High School fair after that. The minute my friends and I arrived, I was caught by the Marriage booth. And when they found out I was a 4th year student, I think they got scared of me and let me go. Without me bailing myself out. Hahah. The benefits of being a senior student huh. :) Too bad it's all gotta end in a few. :(

I sure am gonna miss it.

The concert started around 6:30. I went there to watch Tansan ni Gaston play. Teki and I were still outside when we heard "....we are Tansan ni Gaston, we're here to turn you on..." haha. We were practically running, or brisk walking, our way inside. Haha with the ridiculous arm swinging. Lol just kidding.

The girl who checked my bag told me I had to deposit my stuff in the baggage counter. Coz I had pointed objects. I brought 3 eyeliner pencils with me. In different colors. :D Yeeah as if I'd stab anyone with them. I care about my eyeliners too much. ;)

So, with that happening, we missed TNG's first song. When we arrived, we got special mentioned by Ken P. "At kina Ashley, andyan lang yung mga yun." Haha, thanks for the greet. :p

As usual, they were great. Fishing pa si Cris.

There were a lot of popular bands. I was observing how great all of their stage performances were. With just a little more practice, I think my bands could be like them. HAHA. Right. XD

Was feeling sleepy by 10pm. 'Cause Rivermaya was playing. I never really liked their music. But I'll have to admit that they're really good. I just don't like the genre.

My dad picked me up at 10:15. We passed by Mcdo to grab a cheeseburger 'cause I was starving. Then I ate a piece of siopao when I got home. So much for dieting. :p

It was a great day. :)

Hello web world, AGAIN!

Hi, I'm Ashley. And I might as well call myself an undecided piece of lizard crap since this is like my....5th or 6th or 7th blog. I can't really keep track anymore. I guess I get too tired of my blog urls too quickly. And then this? DanceMyDreams? WTH? Another equivocal one in the making. But I kind of like how it sounds right now. It's the title of one of Tamia's songs by the way.

I was actually thinking whether to:

#1: Put my site Timeless-Reverie.com back up.
#2: Apply for hosting from some nice personal site out there.

I really don't like the Timeless-Reverie url anymore. It sounds so....ew. And I found someone's personal site through constant link clicking. It's Sealed-Fate.net. Kinda cute huh? But I don't know if I'll be up for maintaining another site anytime soon. So I settled for this blogger blog. For now.

And I used a layout I made YEARS ago. So it's yeah...another piece of lizard crap. No, cockroach crap. It definitely sucks.

I can't believe I thought it was nice back then.
